Our journey takes us north across the Firth of Forth towards St Andrews, a charming coastal town known worldwide as the Home of Golf. As the main destination of our excursion, we'll allow plenty of time for you to explore at your own pace and discover what makes this historic town so special.

Golf enthusiasts might choose to visit the famous Old Course, see the iconic Swilcan Bridge or explore the area around the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. We can also help arrange an Old Course guided walking tour for those interested in learning more about the history of golf. Beyond golf, St Andrews offers plenty to discover, from the atmospheric ruins of St Andrews Cathedral and St Andrews Castle to the historic University of St Andrews, independent shops and beautiful coastal views. How you spend your time is entirely up to you, with your driver-guide happy to offer recommendations.

After lunch, we'll continue through the East Neuk of Fife, a picturesque stretch of coastline known for its colourful harbours and traditional fishing villages. Travelling through charming locations such as Crail and Anstruther, there will be opportunities for photographs and short stops where time permits.

We'll then make our way back to your Edinburgh cruise port, ensuring you return in plenty of time for your ship's departure.

As this is a private excursion, there's flexibility built into your day. If you'd prefer more time in St Andrews, we can adjust the itinerary and spend less time exploring the East Neuk. Any changes will be subject to local conditions and ensuring a timely return to your ship.

  • For any shore excursion in Scotland, preparation is key to enjoying your adventure comfortably. Our weather is famously changeable, so checking the forecast and dressing in layers is essential:

    • Light base layer

    • Sweater or fleece

    • Waterproof jacket

    Comfortable shoes are also a must, as many destinations feature cobbled streets, rugged trails, or castle grounds that require footwear capable of handling different types of uneven surface.
